2005 Dodge Neon Crankshaft Sensor. My check engine light came on a few weeks back. The 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 was the base level of the lineup and not counting the RT trim level had three engine options available. The crank sensor is on the back side of the engine just above the oil pan there will be two sensors there one is the crank sensor and the other is oil presser sensor. This sensor uses a reluctor to gauge the position of the crank.
