Coolant Sensor Bad Jeep Grand Cherokee. Sensor light goes on when starting stays for 5 min then goes out only to come on and off continuously. You have a bad VIC also known as the Vehicle Information Center. They typically arent going to be as prevalent though. My car now wont just start up I literally have to keep my foot on the gas like 10 mins til its warmed up and them it will stay started.

Sensor light goes on when starting stays for 5 min then goes out only to come on and off continuously. On my center console I have a warning flashing that says Coolant sensor bad What coolant sensor is this. They typically arent going to be as prevalent though. Unfortunately theres a number for that they didnt plan on which is a corroded sensor plug that is causing the error message.

Can anyone point me at where to look first. In the case of the Jeep Grand Cherokee this is a known bug - theres nothing actually wrong with the sensor. 1998 Jeep grand Cherokee.
